Second NehruvianDOOM Track "Om" Released.

Another track by NehruvianDOOM - a hip-hop duo consisting of up and coming young rapper Bishop Nehru and underground king MF DOOM - is now in the world. "Om", as it is called, makes this guy really excited about the new record.

At last, we are blessed with a new MF DOOM project. This time DOOM is doing a collaboration with young rapper Bishop Nehru, the first collaboration album with another MC that he has done since Take Me To Your Leader, an album which was a collab with the Monsta Island Czars. The legendary Madvillainy could be another example, however, Madlib only appears on two tracks out of the album's 22. However, the project is turning out a little different than I expected...

A new segment on my youtube channel! On the Stereo is where I rant and rave about whatever artist I'm currently stuck on, and hopefully it will turn you on to some music you may have never heard before. This week I'm talking about Madlib, a legendary hip-hop producer who is behind such albums as Madvillainy by Madvillain (an album that's in my top-ten for hip-hop without a doubt) and The Unseen by Quasimoto, an album I hope to own soon. New Madvillain Album This Year?!

According to the fine fellows at Rhapsody, Madvillainy, the only album released by the hip-hop duo Madvillain so far (MC: DOOM, DJ: Madlib), is the greatest hip-hop album from the last decade. While I personally don't hold it to that level, and I don't even think it's the best thing DOOM has ever done (THIS is), I will admit that Madvillainy is one hell of a unique album and a feat of creativity in hip-hop. For me, it's like the Paul's Boutique of DOOM's discography; my favorite album is the one that came before it, but I have to recognize that the follow-up exists on a deeper level than its predecessor. But one thing that frustrates many hip-hop fans who drool all over this album's greatness is that it came out in 2004 and we haven't heard much from Madvillain since, minus some demo tracks released from the Stones Throw label a few years ago, so when will we hear anything new from this villainous pair?

uh...HIP-HOP MONDAY: MF DOOM/Clams Casino-"Bookfiend" TRACK REVIEW

Even over other talented and lyrical rappers like The GZA and Big Boi, metal-masked rap villain MF DOOM reigns supreme in my hip-hop collection just because of how original and totally cool he is. He possesses that underground, underdog charm that I like, but that's only part of my reason for placing him above all other rappers. He (almost) disposes of rap cliches entirely, such as opening and/or closing tracks with shit talk, rapping about hood life and how much weed he can smoke, and he subdues emphasis on bitches and money. Oh, and he's also responsible for Vaudeville Villain, one of my top three favorite hip-hop albums of all time, as well as the almost-as-awesome and most critically acclaimed album Madvillainy. His monotonous and symmetrical flow is instantly recognizable and his masked villain persona just completes the package for me. In short, I love the guy.

   Apparently, God was fed up with hip-hop in 2003 and divinely inspired Daniel Dumile-then known as MF DOOM-to team up with a team of talented producers and create one of the most exciting, hard-hitting, and thoroughly satisfying underground hip-hop albums of all time: Vaudeville Villain.
