Prowler in the Yard: A Poem

If you read my last post, I gave a link to my review of the CLASSIC album Prowler in the Yard by the mighty Pig Destroyer. It is truly rock out material of the highest degree, so feel free to read my review of the album and give it a listen when you have the time. In fact, I love the album so much that I wrote a short poem about it! Here it is.

Feral blasting ricochets off the walls
Hellish distorted noise
Fire-breathing tone
Snarls and screeches
Churning in the basement
A sofa overturned
Shouts and screams muffled underneath
Poems of a demented mind
He growls:
“I see you headless with me caressing your neck”
This is disgusting, they say.
It’s pornography.
No. No. No.
This is beautiful.
This is art.

Hope you liked it. I'll have more poems and short stories up in the future, and I'll make a bigger effort to keep this blog more active than it's been. Stay tuned.
